In comparison, you don't hear any C segment or D segment cars with this problem.
Example, on an Axia.

I wonder why almost all B segment AC compressors are so noisy? It doesn't matter whether a new Honda City, Myvi, Vios, whenever the compressor kicks in, the whole parking lot can hear the damn noise.

Bro, you want more quiet either buy bigger better segment cars or sent your car for noise insulation/sound proof installation. Most B & A segment cars are for budget, car manufacturer dont come factory with these as it will add cost and heavier weight overall (fuel economy impact).

QUOTE(guest54321 @ Sep 24 2024, 10:16 PM) could it be fan noise? i dont know. Every time i saw any myvi parked idle in the basement sure can hear the noise coming in and out. That noise is from the radiator fan motor switches on when you on the aircon. This is automatic unless higher end cars hv separate radiator and aircon cooling fan. Nothing you can do, just live with it. Small older conti cars are even louder. I believe newer conti hv double speed fan motor that spin faster/louder when water temp reaches certain level. |

Well, higher end car has better outside noise insulation. The car compressor is just the compressor and even the same with other cars

C certain car use clutchless compressor so it got no tiktok tiktok sound and most of C segment car condensor fan use fuzzy logic resistor fan that the fan rpm depends on coolant temersture and refrigerant pressure.

It doesnt go on and off like the video I shared found in an Axia The clutchless compressor is more expensive and normally not used on lower end car. However, not all higher segment cars use clutchless compressor either too. |
