Why Russians talking to each other in English, not Russian?

But it's also common for Chinese talk to each other in Chinese and Indians talk to each other in Indian. The setting is not in a workplace or public, they are at home. Normally people speak their mother tongue at home.

actually, it is also very common for chinese to speak to chinese in english... my old office... most of us use english...

and there were many indians from india in my old firm also... and they usually speak in english too, just very fast.

home is a different story.

I didn't watch the Scarlett Johansson movie, do they ever speak any Russian? Seems weird if they never speak any Russian. Even banana like me can speak some Chinese.
