Wow, the lift is still in operation. This was formerly known as Kerry's when the Kerry's supermarket was the main tenant there. It has been largely dead since day 1 some 40 years ago.

That's right. That was the era when a lot of Japanese retailers were attempting the local market here.....kimisawa, Q Mart at OKR.

IMO its decline started when Ampang Point opened just across the road, with what I think was Malaysia's very first Domino's Pizza, PC Unlimited, and a departmental store with a huge(for it's time) toy section and arcade. But even then Kerry's supermarket was popular with the expat crowd.

During my time, it was compared to the likes of Ampang Park. The higher up floors were largely desserted. Apart from Kerry's, my hangout was the music shop which had cheaper dubbing services vs Sg Wang.
