this laptop really attractive because of the spec. + and the price(very cheap man!), I hardly find another competitor so far, any of u hav dis laptop?Cuz my barjet below RM4k, my daddy gona kill me if buy more that price As a student i juz hope my laptop graphic card strong enuf to support stracraft2 + C&C3 then im satisfy liao. Hope u guys gimme some recommandation + feedback thanks

its not a bad choice, the build quality is also better (way better) than the previous line of acer laptops.

GeForce 8400G is barely okay though,you can play C&C3 with no problems, and most likely none with sc2 as well.. it would be better to get something with a 8600GT/GS in it. if im not mistaken the acer aspire 5920g has it for slightly more than 4k

you might wanna consider an Asus or a Dell though. both have good specs for the price range. i configured a inspiron 1520 with 8600gt for less than 4k before.

Go to dell website there and configure inspiron 1520 8600m GT laptop. Nice due contrast to acer 5920G.Save more.Now all 5920 stack wif GS graphic.

IF me, i sure select 800mhz FSB.. nice..
4mb cache.. converting movie.. wow..
GC.. better then intel..

Nice spec there. If you want better customer support, you could try configure the same spec at Dell's site. Purchase more warranty to suit your studies. You might not want to have a broken laptop by the end of your semesters.

For gaming, GeForce 8400M GS is the starting point. Mine got the DDR3 version. You might want to opt for 8600M GT from Dell. Or Acer too if you don't mind with customer support and the Gemstone design.

well, after done some research on both laptops which are acer 4720 and dell 1520, i found dat dell after upgrate around RM4k++ le.. i seldom play high graphic card required games, at most i juz want to play starcraft2 with no lagging problem ~ well thanks for ur recommandation guys ^^ i appreciate it n decided to buy acer 4720 ba~

price frendly but service after sales how?

after sales service for acer r pretty suck for me ....i dunno bout others

Acer provide very good specs and certainly value for money laptop but the built quality is quite poor...

try configure vostro 1500 with 8600gt. i try it the other day and it cost only around 3300.

eeee got vostro series laptop meh? anyway i cant find any vostro available at www.dell.com.my , izit gona release soon or ady released? Haha waiting my bro sponser me 3k + myself got 1k^^ guess few weeks laterr can buy my lovely laptop!
