Recently i have come across with a company , they mentioned that only unpaid leave is accepted during probation period. is this reasonable? but i have worked with company that allows employees to take annual leave , sounds weird to me.

Well, technically, you don't accrue annual leave until you are confirmed.

Yes, no AL while in probation for most companies.

I think there are quite a lot of companies doing this.
Anyhow, you will get back the AL after confirmation.
If not, I think it is not reasonable.
I did work in a company at where I resigned during probation, they even pay me the leave I entitled.

Many local companies only give AL after confirmation, while MNC give AL to everyone (sometimes even for certain type of parttimers).

Actually it's depending on company...

But most local companies (read: chinaman companies) don't give AL for during probationary period...

Sadly, it's some form of loophole & they exploit them to the max....
