I still remember watching "The Greed of Man" back in the day; it had this raw intensity that newer dramas rarely match. But recently I've been more into K-dramas for the kind of emotional arcs they manage to pull off, especially when it's a mix of romance and real character growth. Been rewatching some old TVB stuff with my dad too, but he complains most new stuff doesn't hit like before.

i think the one of the best part about watching TVB then, is you had to rent VCR tape/disc , and return within a week (discounted/penalized).

so everybody in the family set a time to sit together and watch the drama, usually 2-3 episode at one go.
