Problem:
I moved in to a new house.

Plaster ceiling making weird noises such as 'krak' or 'krik', or 'krok', sound after a while after switching on the aircond.

After i switched it off, the sound goes away.

If i use a normal standing fan in the room, then of course, no sound at all.

So, it's not rat as suggested in the old thread below.

I found a similar old thread with an exact problem.

so, the question is how to solve this problem of making the sound goes away. Which professional should i call?

Has anyone experienced this as well?

this is because your aircond has a slow vibration when operating.
So the plaster ceiling maybe cut cost and install very little metal support.
You can open back the plaster ceiling and add in more metal support and screw in the plaster ceiling to the support. However, this will be dirty and involve hacking. and repainting after doing it.
So do it at your own risk.

also, is this a cassette? if yes, those aircond guys did not add in extra support onto the plaster ceiling.

Small animals?

those plaster ceiling hold with type of bar metal. thin.

once open aircond, or fan, this metal made vibration / sound.

u can reach your ceiling from upper side, then put tape. tape this metal

depends on ur reno process

example air cond point and the plaster ceiling need enough clearance

u do it so close, u get this issue

air cond man only install based on ur air cond point location

need find back ur plaster ceiling guy n smack his head
