hi everyone...!! I'm new to Gerbil...and i found them really cute and interesting creatures...so i plan to have a pair of them by next month ... i hope you all can help me with tips and advice on how to take care of 'em!

i'm planning to have a pair....male and female...do you think its ok to put in 1 tank? i heard some of gerbils are solitary like syrian ham ham..is that true?

i just abit sad coz gerbills are kinda expensive to me....unlike ham ham or GP...now i'm looking ofr sum1 who can let me adopt/but with a beginner/less prize...

yeah from what i read, they are very different compare to syrian ham ham, and it is very tidy creature too! i will try to PM the breeders you mention, really hope i can get my own gerbils soon...

um....yeah after i double check the gerbil i said rm150+ is a fat tail gerbil-Duprasi...i thought its Mongolian gerbil...sorry wrong info...like i said i'm very new to gerbil....and i heard fat-tail gerbils are solitary, unlike social mongolians....

Hello everyone!! I'm very happy to have my own pair of gerbil frens from Kelvin..thanks alot Kelvin!! they are very cute, adorable and active...very fun to watch them!!

um 1 newbie question...how big they can grow really? is their average size is about the size of an adult Syrian hammy?

ahahaha no la juz asking,but can be as big as my guinea pig oso even nicer ma...kan kan? hehehehe

hi everyone!! wow gerbs for adoption...! i wish i can have some but...nah i'm still noobie so better stick to these to gerbs of mine first la...

um juz now i sense something abit diff with my Darky...he's always the most energetic and jumpy one compare to his mate Mocha...but sudenly he became so quite...he stick to one place and juz stare at nothing...i try to lift him and he just let me take him in my hand (which is odd bcoz they usually are hard to pick with my hands...they ran away....) is Darky sick or something? when i put at my hand he juz stay still n only look left and right curiously 2-3 times onli...kelvin does this happen before? aiyo i'm worried la...

aha now he's back to his original self d....huh so relief...but will monitor him summore to make sure he's really ok...maybe juz now he sakit perut or something....or maybe he' on the mood...but so glad he recover...

i will take care of him and mocha at my best...so dun worry ar...aha will find some time to upload pics of them soon, so you wont be so rindu la hihihi...

yo everyone long time no see..! si busy lately....my 2 gerbils are doing fine, but wish Mocha are as fat as Darky....Mocha very fit one...never over-eat....

um sometime, i saw my mocha lay down with his belly ontop, then darky will go ontop of him and mcm gigit2 here n there, like grooming his fren...iz what he did is just grooming or playing? i got worried they fight or what, coz the posture looks kinda scary as Mocha wil stay completly still and let darky nib here and there....1st glance nampak macam gaduh, but whn i look again, mocha mcm 'shiok' plak, tak macam sakit pon....ahaha confuse ar....

hi everyone...happy CNY!!!

i just adopted 3 male gerbils last week, 2 agouti n 1 black. the previous owner claimed to be 9 months ol, but i saw them sooooo thin.....they look happy together in their tank but their size really worries me, about half the size of my mokona n modoki onli....can anyone tell me the perfect diet plan to pump them all chubby n cute?

and i tried putiing them in the same tank as my 2 boys, but they end up fighting...(my mokona got bitten!!!!poor boy~...)maybe their introduction process not successful...if u guys got tips to introduce them pls help ya...

i did exactly as u mentioned, using DIY wire mesh...but stil they fight...hmmm i guess its better to put them in diff cage...i oso dun wanna gamble wit their lifes.....love them all so much wo....

hmm just now i went to kl, and went to the large petshop in one of the big shopping malls in kl...(cant mention the name...) i say there's only 1 gerbil there...in poor condition (small cubicle...messy and very thin bedding) and the most sad part is...it lost its tail!! the tail part has nothing and have some white fur at the place the tail suppose to be (btw the gerbil is black)...what might happen to the poor gerbil till the tail came out?

my new gerbil boys are looking good, they are very energetic compare to mokona n modoki, always dig here n there and they seems to grow a bit, at stomach area (a bit chubbier)if got free time i'll take their pics ya.

haha my boys love to roll on the sand, but oso poo n pee there...

aih my boys still cannot live together la, so decided to give up putting them in same tank...my mom scold me d coz consume too much space...

:sigh: yeah lor...and my parent seems not to supportinve on this...but i really love my pets!! wait till i got my own home then i put tanks n tanks of gerbil, hammy, gp, even horse if can huhuhu

that thought always makes me wonder about another thing, how the hell you stuff all ur pets in ur room kelvin? ferret summore? waaah so jealous lor!!

aha actually no, its because my dad wanna renovate the house, so got to clear the space and the space for my mini zoo will be cut to half...so in the and no space d for 2pc 2feet tank, GP cage n 2 hamster cages....so sad have to let go...but i hope forumers here can take them, coz i trust u guys know how to take care of them well....anyone want them i can give the tank oso to you....

I went to Pet Family at Tesco Setia Alam, they got many gerbils there, and all are so cute, energetic and fat~! so tempting...price RM25 only regardless of color (seriously love their lilacs)
