petshop is droping the price now. but double check the wuality and health.
if u didn't seperate the male one. u will get an other liter within 30 - 35days. so get ready for the 2nd batch.

this is what you should have do/think before all this.

1) breed the pair
2) if only want 1 liter, a) cage up the male, b) seperate the male in other tank.

if a) u don't need to reintro the male pup to the dad when they are 2 mths old, and ready to seperate from mum, but you will need to cage the male for 2 mths. and the mum have to take care the pups alone. also make sure the cage don't put the pup in danger.
if b) you will need to intro the male pup to the dad, 2 mths later. also the mum will need to take care the pups alone.

when u stop breeding stright away from 1st liter. you will have 2 tanks. 1 female 1 male. (if b intro is succeful)

now you have 1st liter, and sure the 2nd liter will come after 30 - 45days. so when ur 2nd batch come. ur 1st batch will be only 1 mth old which should seperate from mum yet.  this is what your tank will be...

a) dad in cage, 2 batch pups with mum. so make sure everyday u feed those in tank and also the dad in cage. don't forget to feed him water too. while the 1st batch are 2 mths old. the 2nd batch is 1 mth old.  2 mth boys may mate with mum while dad is cage up. seperate the 1st batch boys and the dad to Tank A, then get ready Tank B for the rest of the boys, then see how many females you have. if too back for 1 tank u may need 2 more tanks. so you will have 4 tanks in future.

also i hope you willing to spend abit more for your gerbil mummy. she will run out of nutrition while nursing the pups.  also if pups are not well feed, guess you will need to handfeed them.

if pups come out already jus separate the male or use split cage inside the same tank
then later if the pups get bigger time then u need to separate the male as well,
then later the male then u can put with the father lo, but then till that time when u put with father, pls remember to do gerbs intro lo.
