after they dig the bedding.. they are digging the tank.scratching the bottom of then tank.maybe they feel stress coz and doesnt settle down yet with new surrounding and new owner.

right now i'm studying the gene table of gerbil genetics.
interested in the gerbil different colours.

That's what I've been thinking... the couple that I bought last time only hit 80g... I might have done something wrong with them...
Even their offspring already hit 40g in a very short time.... and look like growing very fast...

Same with my wife, daughters and son....

I saw classifieds, someone selling 1 month old gerbils... so tiny, so small.... summore asking for RM60.... colour? Common colours.....I think that price is way too much for 1 underage gerbil.

respond when yu call their name? my sister and i plan to get either type of gerbils, cos i love gerbils

I've been letting my ~2 months old babies patrolling around on top of the cage.... and sometimes on the floor in my house....
Yesterday night, one of the babies jumped into their mum cage.... The mum attacked ferociously.... luckily I was there and I separate the mum within 5 seconds.... Good news is no injuries     But never thought the mother will attack her own even after 3 weeks separation...

this show you both hvn't do enough study b4 u breed.  they forget each others after 24 hours.

how long does it takes for gerbils to get pregnant actually? i have a male n female gerbil staying together for almost a year 'dee and the female one is still not pregnant 

Mine took 6 months... I almost give up... suddenly realized got pinkies hidden under substrate and already few days old.

Well... I love animal...  when I was a little kid, got almost 25 cats and all of them sleep all over me at night... to the point I cannot move.
Nowadays, married with one wife (I hope to have more ) who doesn't like animal at all, and three kids who really love animal.... and a full
time job.... so I can't watch and wait for them to mate and gave birth.... My mating process also cannot follow proposed schedule most of
the time......  

a responsible animal owner is not about how many PETS they have.  if you appreciate a life, you will care.  you will check on ur pets everyday, being busy and no time to look at them is not an excuse.  if really THAT busy, don't get pets, or keep less pets. 

don't you worries the new born are not well feed? don't you worries the new born die and it dirty the cage/tank while ther are others pups around?

ppl like Kelvin who breed before he do all the study, why i don't talk about him? cos i can see he care, he is doing his best to learn.

also your age and your quantity of pets doesn't make u a responsible pets owner.  if you think you are OLD enough, do the right things to educate the young one.  its time to change, we don't feed dog left over food nowaday!

I just give them staple food and sometimes a little bit of carrot or apple.. Got them this biscuit which is said to contain vitamins for them but they won't eat it. What else is important for them la?
