Do i need to terminate a dormant enterprise or it will autoterminate?
in my case it the registration has already expired since 2019. its not even listed on my ssm ebiz profile anymore
recently read some post on FB that someone kena fine because they didnt notify to terminate their business. so im a lil worried

must submit Notice of Termination of Business

TERMINATION OF BUSINESS

1) If a registered business is still active and has ceased its operations, the owner or business partner shall register the termination of business to SSM within thirty (30) days.

2) Termination of business can be registered for the following reasons:

Business cessation
Owner's death
Court Order
Bankrupt
3) Business termination can be made online through ezBiz Online.

4) Please visit the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) website for more information.

What if expired ssm more than a year? Still need visit HQ for proper termination?

I have one old ssm expired very long time liao probably 10 year and i don't think i have registered for online access either

I think the funny part is when i register 2nd ssm they never mention any my previous ssm either

Best to do it yourself to make sure really closed

I know a person who trusted his accounting firm to submit the notice of termination cuz he rushing to migrate NZ, when he came back LHDN terus blacklist him from leaving the Msia, turns out that acc firm didn't do shit and lingkup instead.

Termination of an expired business

There are 2 situations:

1. Business expired less than 12 months
Business owner should renew the business first before applying for business termination at EzBiz.

2. Business expired more than 12 months
Business will be automatically terminated. If the business owner needs Surat Pengesahan Tamat Tempoh Pendaftaran Perniagaan for third party reference (Bank, LHDN, JPJ, etc.), the owner can purchase the document at e-Info.

I just submit for the termination anyways

More to do with taxes as gomen now desperate for money. If you don't close, they assume you owe LHDN taxes, irrespective if you have filed your tax returns.

Sdn bhd only need right? I got enterprise also expired and received letter notices saying auto termination
