Been there for months due to work. Generally its not very safe to walk at night.

- street kids, they will gang up on you. 1/2 will be begging to distract you, rest will try open up your bag/snatch stuff from your pants. They do it openly without fear, you don't be surprised if suddenly a bunch of them come to you. Just be prepared and give a loud shout, they will runaway.

- knifepoint robbery at night is very common, just try your best to take cab going to places and night time only walk at the main road that's well lit with a lot of people.

- always try to grab or metered taxi.

- don't carry all your cash with you.

Food are good there, people are friendly, alcohol are cheap. Just safety wise a bit turned off.
