Hi guys, recently I bought this Asus TUF Gaming AX6000 router thinking it would be a nice primary router for my new home.

I am staying in a double storey house and the default unifi router cant reach the other end of my house, sucks....

So I bought the Asus router, now I am interested to setup a mesh router, but not sure which one to get. Since I already bought the Asus one, ideally the mesh node should use Asus also right, since is has AiMesh in it.

I am looking at this link to choose from. Can anyone recommend a setup?

Actually the key question would be, do you really need Mesh or just purely the wifi repeater to make the signal receivable all the way to the back of your house.

check your unifi router if it support mesh / repeater, i pair it with TPlink Ax73 and it does work.

now, from up stair this my unifi become secondary, with same wifi name, and it auto reconnect.

Firstly, unless it’s a big bungalow, the Asus AX6000 signal will likely reach the end of your house that the Unifi router couldn’t, so check first if it’s feasible. If you find throughput still insufficient and then want to add another unit, just get a cheaper AiMesh supported Asus AX model. No need to spend on a whole Zen system, me thinks.

That may be Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh

don't think Asus supports that

TS, just deploy the Asus and see if it works well
if needed, can just get any budget AiMesh compatible router, like AX53U
