was hoping Honor to give more aggressive pre-order rebate etc, cuz Samsung was giving 15% rebate + 700 trade in additional rebate, if select 512GB spec for Fold 6, it'll be cheaper than V3 RRP

hmm i just checked with Honor customer service, the "12 month extension warranty" that cost RM299 does not include the outer/ inner screen replacement, what a bummer

having compared the price of fold 6,im in dilemma..

Fold 6 after applied 15% rebate and whatnot, only cost RM6,014.15, if add 2 years samsung care+ (RM 992.52), total damage would be RM7,006.67

Magic v3 is at RM6,999.. that is only RM7.67 cheaper lol

4. better warranty as long hopped onto samsung care+
5. better video capture quality
6. better battery efficiency
7. better heat dissipation especially when gaming

V3:
1. slimmer and modern design
2. better telephoto lens
3. faster charging speed
4. innovative feature like AI eyes comfort
5. the parallel space for p*rn lmao
6. narrower crease
7. resizable icon and folders


how great if there's a phone combined both of them

The first thing that came to my mind was the front screen 6.43 inches.. I felt the screen too tiny to type with coming from S ultra series, if I went for Fold 6 I could be crying already lol

But then again the system split screen is kinda different from Galaxy fold split screen, still need time to get used to it lol

Samsung consistent UI experience still superior than V3, but hardware wise V3 takes the cake (slimmer body, minimal crease, better zoom)

Battery efficiency about the same, Fold5 and 6 has only 4400mah battery and V3 has 5150mah, but l will still need to charge my V3 twice per day (maybe the phone still optimising my usage pattern), faster charging speed on V3 only works if you use their own Honor charger, something that need to take note

please go molest the phones in the mall before you buy, just follow your heart, both V3 and Fold6 are not a cheap price tags for regrets haha 😂

Camera's output, Samsung has overall more consistent colour profile (exposure and details, video stabilizer is better), but V3 can take much clearer zoomed photos but the colour profile is kinda inconsistent with different camera you use (e.g. wide angle lens darker, main lens brighter)

1. V3 has Google pay also, but I didnt activate it lah, dont feel like attaching my card to it

2. yup, if talk about pen then Samsung official case wins hands down, Honor pen is very big, can't attach to any casing, you will need to bring it with you separately

3. in terms of brand recognition, i think Honor is doing great as an emerging brand, the brand awareness is there and their marketing team has been working hard for greater exposure.. if you concern is on warranty, then make sure buy Fold 6 with Samsung Care+, Samsung Care+ will cover the screen replacement until you reach the phone's price (max capped), whereas Honor, they only provide free screen replacement within 180 days, and would charge you 50% after that (within 365 days).. warranty wise i think Samsung offers "better peace of mind"

for galaxy watch, i tried connecting to my friend's watch 4, it can get connected, not sure about latest galaxy watch though, and none of us has galaxy buds laying around, but i think you can connect them without issue, Android is not as "confined" as iOS i believe

I think you could just use it like you tap your physical cards on the teller device, as long your phone has NFC enabled and your bank supported google pay, not every bank support google pay but i think majority of big bank does

for my own unit, the "waves" is not prominent, only has 2 "wavy" lines close to the crease, Samsung surface is smoother yes, but crease is much deeper.. Samsung uses UTG so glass surface definitely feel a lot smoother, but also more prone to reflection

for Q1, not true, the phone's proximity sensor will detect that the cover screen is at 90 degree or lesser when it's laying flat on table, the video will automatically turn to cover screen .. but sometimes the view glitched out, you could only see 50% of the screen and you had to minimise the youtube apps or click the screen rotation button to fix that

EDIT: Sorry lol, thought you were asking whether can we watch video from outer screen when the phone is unfolded half.. dam brain dead soon




for Q2, you can unfold your phone and turn on your view finder from the camera option

ya i think OS stability wise still has rooms for improvement
often need to restart Apps or something when it's glitched out

But last night i received one update, didn't take note what were the changes, it seems Honor quite hardworking in releasing patches lol
