Hi, my Gainward 3060ti I bought back in 2022 is starting to have serious issues (artifacting, PC crashing). I have verified that the GPU is the issue by switching to my CPU iGPU (5600g).

Gainward website says to claim warranty directly from distrbutor. The store I bought my GPU from is gone (probably bankrupt). Anyone have any experience claiming warranty on Gainward GPUs?

Since its gone, you can reply back to Gainward for next advice as its not your fault the seller went kaput. Otherwise another is to tag onto another Gainward distro/reseller who can RMA for you but will need to charge handling fee I believe.

BTW which Gainward series is it, and what usage did you get artifacting?

Thanks. I've reached out to the Gainward distributor in Malaysia so hopefully they can help with my RMA.

This is the 3060ti Ghost and I mainly notice some serious artifacting when gaming (CS2, Lethal Company) and occasionally when browsing text-heavy websites.

Oh this Ghost version, nearly exact to Palit Dual, and also same as reference design to my Manli 3060Ti.

If still can RMA under warranty, why risk voiding by opening it?

Hello, so an update: Apparently the warranty is only 3 years with the store (which has since closed down). With Gainward and with JW Power (the distributor for Malaysia), the warranty is only 2 years. I wish I had known this before because it seems like a dumb policy designed to catch people off guard but yes, I am stuck with a 3060ti that is having issues.

Side note: Is this the norm for other GPU manufacturers? Or just Gainward?

Temperatures look okay but I might try replacing the thermal pads and repasting it, if that would even help. Thanks.

Well looks like you got not much choice then, warranty burnt so can try a repaste see if it helps.

You wont find it as the terms & length is region specific which can change with time. Only way you know is from your receipt or mentioned on website store.

I'd suggest trying to find the distributor for Colorful in Malaysia and emailing them, or better yet emailing Colorful directly with your serial number.
