But if the $$ is 1k ringgit more over Ps5 slim digital version.. Would you consider this upgrade.??

I am in little dilemma stage

Now using a Ps4.. Thinking of upgrade to ps5
slim digital version.. My budget is all ready but With this Ps5 pro surface up.. Putting me of holding back my purchase of Ps5 slim digital version

Please give me some advise....go for it.. Ps5 slim digital version.. Or wait for Ps5 pro.

Ps4 upgrade to ps5 pro, maybe la. I'm using Ps5 from second batch till now, barely used it recently. There's nothing must have on the PS5.

I am referring to the latest news that Ps5 pro is going to launch $$ at about 600us vs the 499us for the Ps5 slim digital version

Giving the fact maybe is going to be about 100 to 150 us different between the 2.. So I guess is going to be about 1k ringgit in our local market..

even if it comes out, it will take a while for Asian/local units to be available, not counting scalpers.

Alternatively, you can try getting a used ps5.

If u can afford then go for pro. If not i reckon a price drop for the standard version

Get the slim digital only, if you have many ps4 disc game then buy the add on bluray drive

There will always be something better on the horizon

did you miss the news of price increase for PS5? probably they foresee this.. even it drop also drop back to original price or slight lower only... it;s better you consider 2nd hand as i saw carousell quite numbers of people selling their unit after the announcement

If I were you, just wait for the Pro version to be available. After playing Black Myth Wukong, I realised extra juice is needed for a better gaming experience.

If the wait really is killing you, then go buy the Slim straight up. No point of thinking much as there'll be a "better" technology in the future.

yup.. but in the same time your are paying for local warranty too. If warranty isn't a factor, then can opt for SG set, which is initially expected price. .

Grey market doesn't affect much to local (except rich fellow, kiasu tech / sony fanboys or those who upgrade from PS4 pro to PS5 pro) as they sure will fight a lose war. RM3849 is quite on the high side. which many will be reluctant to buy, including myself. I'll just wait and see how. no point to gancheong buy now, the games library that PS offer also quite limited, not that games will support 8k either (except 1). the game industry isn't ready for it yet.

Actually you should get the PS5 Pro instead of the PS5.

PS5 is struggling with many games now with unstable frame rate. People who tested the new monster hunter wilds' demo, feedback that PS5 only able to do 30fps max, and the frame rate is not stable, unable to keep at 30fps all the time.

P/S PS5 Pro is optimized for UE5, so games like Wukong which made with UE5, will benefits a lot.

Played space marine 30fps is good for me. More cinematic feel. Only game u need high fps is like fps game

Even 20fps is playable if u r a high tolerable person, last time i played the witcher 3 on PS4 the frame rate could drop to 19-25. But i am always aiming for the best frame rate. On PC i am playing most games at 80-100fps.

And btw, 30fps is not for everyone, some people feel motion sickness much easier if the frame rate is below 60fps or if the frame rate is unstable.

just turn off the motion blur and use vrr. As long as u have vrr is much better. Everything looks smoother.

I always have the motion blur off, and my tv/monitor have vrr. Even so it can't beat a consistent 60fps or higher frame rate. There are reasons why people wants 60fps / higher frame rate. And a better PC / PS5 Pro not only improve the frame rate, it improves other settings too.

If you are casual gamer just buy Slim. Almost 4 years since PS5 is out & you still havent bought it shows which side you are at
Next question does your TV have most if not all of PS5 perks like 4k, 120hz, HDMI 2.1, VRR, LFC & etc.
TLDR dont need to follow other people hype buying the latest tech. Buy what you want.

I don't have a super big TV but i guess my Dell G3223Q 32" 4K 144Hz IPS gaming monitor will do just fine with all the bells and whistles you mentioned.

didn't buy Dell AW3225F as I don't like QD OLED burn in that will happen later on even though got 3 years burn in warranty.
