Like Chinese will call you banana if you cannot speak Mandarin, and wumao will call you Indian if you criticize Xipeepee.

TS has a point, sugar is addictive but not psychoactive. And original topic was about peer pressure working culture forcing people to drink. Where got work culture force people to eat sugar?
*
his arguments contains too many fallacies already.

keep comparing actual psychoactive drugs to sugar just because of a few clickbait articles.

Humans crave sugar due to our biological and evolutionary needs. its hardwired in us to want high calorie foods. even babies cant help themselves.

QUOTE(icemanfx @ Sep 4 2024, 05:24 PM)
Keeping slave and rape is imposing one's power over another like telling others not to drink.

It's so funny that they generalize every nons as drunkard just like they generalize every melei as b40 useless penunggang agama turd. Those who don't agree with the generalization will be called names.

You're right. In history, people who drink alcohol have never committed war crimes, have never invaded other countries. You should be given a Nobel Peace Prize.

As much as i used to enjoy alcohol, this peer pressure in pressuring you to drink alcohol and thinking it's a macho thing to do the more hammered and shitfaced you go needs to stop. You don't know the health history of the person with you. What if the person you are pressuring to drink is having particular diseases like liver disease or they are on certain medication, say like drinking alcohol while on benzo medication could actually kills them. Drinking while on certain class on antidepressant, like MAOI used in treating depression with high tyramine alcoholic drink could also kills them.

The thing is in some cultures, it can be hard to say "NO" and it is considered rude to reject when someone offers you drink and some of them don't want to take "NO" for an answer.

Erm, TS's thread objective is what? Talk about alcohol's harm or talk about workplace stuff?

Workplace simple lo, see what you cherish more, work or life. you can owes also stay and order your own drink, pay on your own, no need feel left out and forced. I feel like the alcohol here is just a lame excuse

In my dad's race culture, it is considered rude to say no when someone is offering you a drink. While some of them can be considerate with you, there are people who insists that you must and say you banyak alasan if you reject.

This is one reason why i rarely going back to my dad's kampung during Gawai. They like to push alcohol on you regardless of your reason. As much as i used to enjoy drinking, i hate it when people are pushing me to drink. Dah lah last time i had Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

Multiple studies have found a link between diets high in sugar and depression.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P...0in%20magnitude.

By your own definition; sugar is a psychoacoustics drug.
