Job seekers and interviewee

Please dont bulls**t your way though interview with printed scripts and researched material. It is very obvious youre reading something and on top of that we know when youre trying to bulls**t yourself through.

I rather you be sincere and tell me you dont know and show enthusiasm and passion of what youre doing instead of showing off your knowledge, your current position, and your current team size.

ESPECIALLY those born of 90s and 00s

Waste everyone time...

Alot of interviewers do not know how to conduct interview as well.

Straight up asking textbook question and expecting non-textbook answers?

Like asking shit question like weakness/strength/aspiration/motivation. What motivates you? The answer is always money (most sincere non bullshit answer).

I ask technical question, he have no technical knowledge. I am looking for a specialist position. He is clearly reading from something coz his specs reflects.

Trying to impress with a bunch of technical jargon but no knowledge on basic term. When ask something he doesn't know, he try to answer something totally irrelevant.

My simple question, what is your approach on solving X. He tell you sun rise on the east and when sunrise I start to brush teeth. The toothbrush I use is of microscopic bristle etc.

Yes I ask general question a lot and I expect in depth answer because is INTERVIEWEE job to impress and to market themselves.

Many still kinda confused

1. I start my interview on a short intro. I intro myself and my company then I ask interviewee to intro and what they do.

2. Based on what they do I generally know what's their knowledge and skills level at (I am their reporting manager if hired). For me my concern is that are you able to do the job youre expected to and can I work with you.

3. If there is any confusion, I will ask in details like what they do. e.g. the candidate told me he work from scratch a project with other dept and lead to increase in 30%. Then I ask what is the project - he cant answer me instead he give me example, i bring him back and rephrase my question, "you mentioned earlier you work with other dept on this project that lead to increase in 30%" what is the project about and what 30% increase? what metrics? He cant answer me, instead he give me more example of the things he do which if listen carefully is rather vague

4. Graduated on the year 2021 (presumedly graduation on year end) now working as AM? either he is super capable or something is wrong.

not relating to ts question that he asked the candidate... but i hate when people ask.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK WITH US?

duh, for money, what else? i won't die for your company. also, it's close to my house, and your amount of annual leave is attractive.

That is not my task as I am the department HOD, my task is to ensure
1. he is knowledgable and skilled enough to perform the duty
2. do I want to work with this fella

Honestly I don't get it why some HR is asking questions such as What's your Passion and Why do you want to work here.

Of course the realistic answer would be people want to get higher paying job in order to pay their bills and commitment.

For passion part, it depends on what kind of job you are doing.

I've worked in property and shopping mall industry. The realistic answer would be I'm passionate to sell your overpriced property projects and making people become unaffordable to buy landed and condo properties.

I'm also passionate in making the CEO and the rest of their family members getting richer every single month.

Is this the realistic answer you want to hear TS?

Is not about the accuracy of the answer is how the candidate answer matters.

interviewer ask interview to solve their company problem, but don't really hire how? want real answer, give offer first lh... lolz

I ask general technical questions, if you can solve meaning youre able to function well in the position if youre hired. If you want to talk about money, I would skip this candidate coz too calculative, personality 0. That's my opinion
