I am not really into using phone connected to computer using phone charger cable. I manage to made it connecting the usb port. The problem is how to properly unplug the charger cable with phone from the computer. I only use it to surf internet and play games. Due to carelessness unplug after using. The phone battery die while it still doing lightning charging on computer usb port. To prevent future mistake any propery way to unplug the cable while the computer and phone charging is still running?

Just pull out the cable from either the phone or the laptop. No issues doing this.

Just simply unplug the cable while the phone and computer is on spoilt the battery. The phone battery after depleted cannot recharge have to replace the phone battery.

QUOTE(BallPointPen @ Sep 2 2024, 12:48 AM) Just simply unplug the cable while the phone and computer is on spoilt the battery. The phone battery after depleted cannot recharge have to replace the phone battery. No such thing. Just kept an old charger around just in case. Newer chargers tend to not be able to charge a totally empty battery for whatever reason (circuit protection or whatever) but if you have those old charger from Nokia days or early Android/iOS devices, just plug it in and it will start charging after a while. Even when you sent them in for warranty, they will just use an external power source to charge the battery, bypassing the phone charging circuit to store some initial charge to the battery before plugging it in to resume charging.

Actually most USB Type-A or Type-C port have built-in circuit breaker but relative very small. If during the unplug, you wiggle the USB Type-A port, it will trigger the breaker. Thats why USB Type-C port is better, because there's no way to wiggle the port, unless you unplug it half-way. The best way is always to ensure during unplug is a 100% pull-out from the port and NOT unplug half-way. Either unplug from phone side or computer side is the same, it must be 100% pull-out. Hope this helps...

If you're just using it for internet and games, you can safely eject the phone from your computer before unplugging. On Windows, right-click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray and eject the device. For Mac, it's as easy as hitting the eject button in Finder. This helps avoid any charging-related issues.
