I rang up Allianz and eTiQa, both of them do not accept AMEX. haiz.... seem like non of any motor insurance company accept AMEX now.

anyone here been to USA before? i heard AMEX in US is widely accepted just like VISA/Mastercard in here... is that true?

Haha... my father used to said the same thing to me when i was a child and wanted to have sup card from him...."you want a card, you have to study hard and earn it yourself to get it" lol... every father is the same er..

Frankly speaking, for us Malaysian, no matter how much we spend or earn the most we can get from AMEX is platinum..they simply dont have black card here.. unless you able to setup an Amex account in Singapore.. that maybe got a chance to get invited if you really a HUDE spender! lol...

mrcloud9, i believe you have used your AMEX card in london before right? hows the conversion charges like when you receive the statement? worth to use the card in oversea?

Does AMEX charge 1-2 % of commision for oversea transaction like VISA card?

if more merchants accept AMEX... i believe really AMEX boleh!!!!! the most rewarded card in Malaysia = AEMX

some more AMEX offering double point per ringgit spent... it will be much more lower than other banks

IF you got enrolled in the Turbo Program, you still get 2x points after Jan 2008 but am not so sure when this promotion gonna to expire... but yeah... i do hope AMEX will extend this 2x points promotion if not maybe come out something similar to this..

Yes, AMEX is not as popular as VISA and Mastercard in Malaysia... but i guess AMEX is currently doing a lot of promotion for their cards as we can always see the ads from newspaper... hope it will be widely accepted soon...
