As long as U've been holding the CC for more than 1 year it shouldn't be a problem.

Meaning the CC will no longer be applicable to use because the Expiry date is coming soon; and the banks will need to reissue a brand new card with a new expiry date for u.

The banks don't care what the expiry date is on the card (at least IMHO) so as long as U have had that CC for >1 year it's good enough.

There's a lifespan on every CC; I guess banks know the cards don't last a lifetime hence with the expiry they issue new cards to U. Some are 1 year, some are 3 years but some much longer.

Can. It doesn't matter what CC U use to apply for another CC so as long as that CC you're using been active for >1 year.

Er.. of course expired CCs don't qualify lah *dish* that's supposed to be common sense.

None of my current cards have 1 year expiry but if I ain't mistaken my first DA Gold Card was 1 year expiry *shrugs*

The CS tells me the Amex system been down since last month; have U been able to pay your bills via Pay by Phone through your Amex within the last month ?

It's not Amex but Maxis - this service is provided by Maxis and not Amex; do not be mistaken. I don't want to do Express Autopay via Amex because I have this habit of checking my bills at the end of each month so I rather spend some time to manually pay for them instead of doing an Auto Direct Debit.

I've not heard from Amex but according to the CS who spoke with me last week should be no problem. I'll contact Amex again if I don't hear from them about my AF.

I've never paid Maxis via my Amex before; except for last month cause I did a walk in to enable my GPRS data package. And don't remind me about the MR points; U know how kiasu I am when it comes to such points?
