QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 29 2007, 03:43 AM) yah, but too bad this offer of 2X ends Jan 2008. Got to do all my CNY shopping before this program ends, haha. ya... 3 months FPP will extend till 15th Feb 2008.However if i not mistaken, the truly 0% interest free 3 months installements have been extended another 3 months right? Lets hope AMEX/MBB extend the 2X rewards program too. |

QUOTE(mrcloud9 @ Dec 8 2007, 08:36 PM) ohh liddat. yeah it still matters although now amex is under maybank. charter membership is a subcategory of membership reserved for loyal cardmembers. i know in malaysia there's gold charter membership but im not sure about the green card though. if youre a gold charter member, youre above normal gold cards but slightly below platinum cards. theres a dedicated call centre for you just like platinum and if im not wrong your annual fee will be waived for life. ya.. green card do have charter membership which we call it as "personal charter card"try to become a charter member and call to call center, see how the customer service rep great you.. then you'll know how much amex loves their loyalty card member *edit due to typo This post has been edited by lauyamonk: Dec 8 2007, 10:37 PM |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Dec 9 2007, 03:55 AM) lauyamaonk: so how to become a charter member .... not so much for the service (as happy with present service) but thinking of saving me the hassle to call AMEX everyear for annual fee waiver. by invitation only. personal charter and gold charter also got annual fees. Need to call in to request a/f waiver. |

QUOTE(vincentlws @ Dec 9 2007, 06:42 PM) mrcloud9 > Not sure about malaysia market now, for me last time.Platinum charge hardly can waive annual fee, infact the annual fee is worth for the exclusive service. However, if you insist then exceptional basic. no waiver for plat card in rgds how much u spend. u insist a waiver, then recommend u to convert gold card. HAHA....Besides just waive, they will offer u some spend base fee waiver la..this and that..depend on the officer. about the member since, amex really look into it. I made my decision on what can i do for the customer with the justification of member since, spend history, payment record. But usually, if you see member since freaking long ago, no problem one. louyamonk> malaysia still got green charter arr..hahah sg sudah obsolete. ya lo... still got green charter ler.... QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jan 3 2008, 09:57 AM) Of course there's a limit but not "preset", one's limit is determined based on spending usage/track record. charge card had no PRESET limit. NOT no limit. how they approve your charge is base on your past 6 or 12 months spending and your payment history and sometime they will see your tenureship as well. For example, average you spend RM10k per months, but suddenly due to some emergency you need to spend RM50k, you will need to call in for approval then they will review your acct accordingly. In the same case, if your payment history su*ks, always delay payment, how you wan them to approve the charge? hope this is clear...Hope the 2 AMEX staff that post here can elaborate on this limit matter further. |

LOC (line of credit) works similar like balance transfer. You will need to fill in a form to apply for it. If approve, you will be provided with a LOC account number.
With this LOC account number, you can transfer you balance from AMEX (only from amex charge card) to the LOC account to settle your amex balance. So your amex card left no balance, and you will need to pay to LOC acct in the future. Of course there will be handling fees and financial charges that stated in the lift let. |
