Anyone know does AMEX Gold credit card do have Travel Insurance Coverage? It dosen't stated on the amex malaysia website. thanks

is that amex will charge extra RM5 for sending the statement to our house? and to avoid this fee is by using their e-statement.

can i know how long u waited for your AMEX Gold CC?
I been apply for 1 week. so far no news at all.
i tried to call them, but they told me need to wait for 2-3 more weeks... :-(

mine one appear in M2u for 1 month and nothing sent to me!! Call and ask the person who handle my application, she ask me to wait 2 months, what the.... So if your card comes in within 1 month, u will said that, at least u r better than me

2 months? It's damn long. I hope Amex won't follow the footstep of its M'sian associate who is famous for its "efficiency" in processing cc application.

Yea mine has appeared in m2u for 2 weeks, still no sign of it.

Edit : When booking for stuff online for travelling purposes (such as hotel rooms, air flight etc), do you guys usually use amex or visa/master card? Remember that we've always said that amex charges higher for foreign currency transactions, applicable for hotel bookings as well right?

just call up AMEX today and check with the process of auto payment application for AMEX gold credit card, its already approved and will start auto debit next month.

I applied on July 15 and received my Amex CC yesterday - that's slightly more than 2 weeks. Didn't receive any call from Maybank at all to confirm my details I have submittted. The card details appear in m2u about 1 week ago so they're quite efficient.

how long does it take for the approval from the time you submit the express autopay form to approval?

For my case, it took one month. i advise you guys call up AMEX to confirm the status.

can we click "statement" in maybank2u and start using e-statement? So that AMEX will not charge the RM5

Btw, to those of you who have your gold cc appearing in m2u but haven't received the card for some time, you should probably call them up. I called them up to check today, and apparently mine was sitting at the branch near my office, for me to collect it =.=. Told them I thought I filled up mail to billing address, but the CS seemed to imply they prefer physical collection, so I went and got my card today XD

Edit : Also, they mentioned 0% finance charge till December. That means if I don't pay my bill till December, I don't get charged interest? o.O

Mine here a bit different with your situation. Just now making a call to the person in charge again, she asked for my address again, and said that will proceed for the shipment. quite strange, it seems that she also don't know where did the card go, just wait another few weeks...

By the way, may i know did the AMEX Gold CC have the hologram such as those Platinum Card? Saw a lady paying at Carrefour using AMEX, I'm sure it is either Platinum or Gold CC but just want to make sure... thanks

The Maybankard AMEX Classic and Gold have the hologram but my Green Charge Card doesn't have it.

I think that is right but I guess you still have to pay the minimum charges.
