What are some good newborn clothing brands?

I've heard of Anakku, Pureen, Fiffy.

How much does a "normal" but good quality baby clothing pair cost (either shit and pants or onesie)?

Recently saw on Shopee, can get the above brands items where usually priced at RM15 to RM20, for around RM5 to RM8. Is it worth it?

remember they outgrow their clothes very fast.

so if u have tight budget, buy clothing at price you are comfortable with.
bearing in mind that they will outgrew it fast.

I dont think you need to worry too much about "Quality baby clothes". Just get simple and comfortable ones. Maybe a few nicer ones to wear out. But ultimately they will sleep in anything. Anything north of RM10 per onesies is probably going to be okay. The sky's the limit unfortunately. Most people tend to overspend on baby/kids clothes, especially their first child.

I think you can likely get this off friends and family easily. Pass me downs are the best. lol

you can try to feel the quality different at Aeon.
but bear in mind baby grow up very fast and which mean the clothes you are getting now is only fit for 3-4months, then you have to buy again.
No harm if you can get second hand clothing from your friends/family if they giving it out for free.

Yes open to 2nd hand but so far no one has come forward. The closest have already passed on to others, while some others still planning for more.

In any case, only buying around 5 to 6 for NB, 3-6 and 6-12. We expect to eventually get some hand me downs and some gifts. So not overbuying for now

can aim at Uniqlo when got sales, and sometimes can get cheap baby clothes. But don't expect it as cheap as that shopee lazada. Quality is assured, my baby got a few pieces from Uniqlo, especially the pyjamas, quality is very good.

Baby grow up really fast, if budget is a concern can really consider used ones in carousell or fb market place or those mama fb groups etc..

I've been letting my baby girl wearing bamboo material which feels really smooth and cooling

Mothercare basic bodysuits is 5 for RM90.

Since making this post, I have been slowly buying from Shopee (via Shopee live + self-pickup shipping). Have bought total of 28 pairs of clothes, up to 12-18m.

I have purchased Pureen Sutera nighties the most, around 9. Then 5 pairs of Fiffy, 4 pairs of Anakku, 3 pairs of Kikilala, one pair each of Tollyjoy, Beeson, and Fancy Baby. All from their respective official stores.

I also bought on Lazada - Cheetah Baby and Babyshop, each having 4 and 2 pairs each. Damn cheap during 9.9 and 10.10 sale where you can stack item promo price + store voucher + store combo discount. Like just this 10.10, I bought 4 Cheetah clothing sets costing RM25 each at Aeon, for a total of RM23.50 (with 2x30s baby wipes). Quite crazy ause the quality is damn good.

In total, may average pricing (excluding Shopee coins redemption) is RM6.30. The average cost of these items in Aeon is around RM20 each.

I'm done buying baby clothes as I don't want to overstock - expecting to get some as gifts and then buy more in the future as we go along.

I also bought other stuff - baby detergent, towel, hankies, swaddle, bottles, play mats, baby oil, baby lotion, baby bath wash, baby cleaser etc from the above brands, at a fraction of their "normal" price.

But the thing is, before buying, we have a general idea of what we want and the quality of the clothes by surveying at Aeon, Parkson, Babyshop, Anakku physical outlets, we generally don't just simply blindly buy only. The only one we tembak and buy is Fancy Baby and Beeson, which is why we just bought 1 set each to test the waters.

Hope this post helps people. Shopee Kikilala has got basic suit sets for day wear at home for RM10 each. Quality is great. Pureen has great comfy night wear, around RM20 before discount. Use Shopee Live for both these and you will be paying RM5 per Kikilala net and RM8 per Pureen net for example. Even cheaper if there's store voucher as well.
