I'm in that line, join banking sector.
First step is to choose the correct company to onboard. Strongly suggest to joint Banking IT sector, software house - banking or IT advisory. Anyway welcome onboard to IT world |

If you have time, i will suggest u to build your own portfolio, demonstrate the website/application you build, your github activities if that's any, action speak louder.Thank you so much, Singleon. Practical result definitely is more convincing. Language won't increase your chance of getting hired, but the trending language got more vacancy. |

You want a good paying job, join the BU as their automation specialist. Easy, boring job and pretty good pay.
If you want a challenge, then you might have to join software house, as big banks usually hire people from software house to work on their projects. We’re a bank, not an IT company. Most of the ITs here are more on network and infra side, not devs |

Here are the paths you can potentially take.Practical result definitely is more convincing. Language won't increase your chance of getting hired, but the trending language got more vacancy. 1/ Work at a bank - But you need to find a bank which has their own in-house development team if you want to practice your coding and development skills 2/ Work at a software house - Basically you work at a company which provides softwares to banks, they can be a core banking provider, AML, fraud detection, payment gateway, clearing houses and many many more 3/ Work at a Fintech - This would be the most fast paced type role as well 4/ Work at a digital bank - This probably has one of the more better options as now we already have 3 digi banks launched and 1 more coming soon. |
