This one so far the smoothest, 60 fps, less lagging, fast start up, supporting both aa and carplay at the same time, auto dimmable day night functions, bluetooth display mode.
And it is linux.
Most portabable. Very easy installation . After set up plug and play.

Seems good. I am also using linux player, the type that fixed into the original player location. Due to fast startup and i only use it to listen to music via usb or connected to my hp via Bluetooth. Also have aa/acp but needs to be connected with wire.

The suction cup really strong even under our strong sunlight? My cheap suction cup usually deteriorated after 1 year.

Depend on budget.
I have used rm150 android until rm1000 android
If you go for AA, rm150 works just as well.
The heavy processing is done at your phone

But wont that be different in fps, screen durability, overheating, dimmable function?

That suction cup , i am not sure. But i guess all of it shall be about the same.

Been using Ekleva 7inch since last May 2023, the device body is very warm, i mount it near to aircond vent to cool it.
the screen brightness setting is hidden deep inside the setting menu, there is no auto adjustment of the brightness, please check the device you want to buy is there any shortcut to adjust the brightness in the home screen.
The worst part is the audio output, FM transmitter is useless, the aux output also very bad quality, you need to purchase a audio ground loop noise isolator to get rid of the noise from the aux output. Dont expect quality audio output from this type of device, and the software also very buggy.

I saw some say the audio quality is bad. BT trasmit only about 100kps while FM about 120kps which is not much better while the aux connector is lose and quality is terrible.

This carpodgo come with a few reviewers, testing the dimmable functions, there is auto brightness setting and it function flawlessly.
The bluetooth only display mode, dual BT connection mode are awesoem. Dual BT function need BT 5.0 and above. Ur phone connect to this device and ur car at the same time. While ur phone project the mirror link onto the device, the soud output is directly via ur car audio system and it give no delay.
Most of the reviews give positive feedback with the tag the smooththes device in the market so far.

Refresh rate won't matter for maps and Spotify
Screen durability depends on your tint I guess.
Seldom see autodim according to ambient.
Auto dim according to your headlight then yes
I bought a screen with hardware button that I assign for brighten or darken

Overheat just add a fan. But usually no need

Fps doesnt matter ? What is the causes of the lagging screen then? Slow cpu?

Paid RM300 for the 7inch model, if dual BT function works then should solve the audio quality issue. Is the video recording function be turned off permanently?
I also thought of changing to DDPai M5S but it doesn't come with AUX output.

Another model i just found Eonon, which also produced Linux head unit, claimed has Bluetooth out function, audio can be transferred from unit to car speakers, maintain its quality, not sure is it same as dual Bluetooth the Cardpodgo offer?

No this is not dual BT function.
Dual BT function work the way that it project only ur aa onto the screen while ur phone sound via the car audio system.
And , carpodgo t3 pro doesnt have front camera. I asked the cs, they wont design front cam in future product as well.
This one is more simple. They have the socket for power supply, rear cam qnd aux. Not like those other android players that have a lot of socket behind.

The Dual BT Function work in both Car Play & Android Auto?
How much is Carpodgo T3 Pro? any local seller?

It is mirror link device that support apple carplay, android auto, wnd also huawei HI car. Initailly it work best for apple carplay only.
So far i only saw it on taobao chinese version platform. After discount with other fee, all in is about rm700. It sold more than 2000units on taobao official website. I have saw most of the review are very good. U can c that a lot of drivers with smart head unit like tesla car, also install this device with good feedback.

On tb app, they got special discount ifor those in western countries.

No . I dont c the cd slot there. Only another mount support for tesla. The price oversea seem more expansive. Taobao one whole set devices and the mounting with delivery cost about rm700.

during driving you wont notice, and you should not pay attention to the screen.

I did a little search, other brands like Coral Vision does offer audio Bluetooth output from phone to car stereo function.

I'm using the Eonon X20 on the 2004 Sorento full time. Yes, I did threw away the stock cassette deck because it is useless.

Today, I added the BT wireless steering remote and the unit detected straightaway without hassle.

Unfortunately, unlike the newer X3, the X20 CPU is kinda slow! Wireless AA or CP is rubbish and lagging. Wired AA or CP is smooth and fast.

Overall, I'll stick with wired. Quite convenient because can charge the phone together.

For my 2012 Peugeot 3008, I opted for the Eonon P4 simply because the stock HU is kind of tricky to dismantle and lose all the ECU warning messages.

I bought this used for 300 bucks and came with everything including the rear reverse cam which I will install later. My current reverse cam is the Yi Mirror Dashcam which worked great for several years already.

how is the audio output? it play on eonon or via the car audio system?

The P4? Output via BT to the stock HU.

Eonon P4 on the Peugeot 3008 year 2012.

Overall, quite satisfied because it was cheap. No need to crack replace the stock HU. Will do a proper cable management and rear cam later. Audio output is to the stock HU via BT.

The best part? The steering remote still works for Spotify and YT Music.

Disable dashcam? Nope.

Thanks, i prefer to use wired so the phone won''t overheat, and don't really need the dash cam function.

Wireless won't overheat la.

Only wired will overheat because you're charging the phone together while using it. My Sorento uses the Eonon X20 with wired AA and the phone does get hot while using it. To solve it, I kept it in front of the aircon vent.
