49 days one of the best drama this year wor..you dun like it? Anyway, on 1st episode, the main actress is not the main one...she later will just be 2nd lead when the main actress appeared i.e that poor lady that stay inside a poor ppl apartment & got possessed by the soul of the so clled 1st ep main actress. That's the correct main actress haha

Not some..exactly the same liao haha...The counting system also a mixture of mandarin, cantonese, & hakka..such as: il (1-mandarin), yi (2-cantonese) sam (3- ' cantonese), sa (4- diff here), gu (5- mandarin), yuk (6- hakka/canto), chil (mandarin), pal (8- mandarin), gu (9 - abit hakka?) , sip (10 -Hakka)

beh- (hundred-hokkien), cheong (thousand- Cantonese), Man (10,000 - Cantonese)

And lotsa others as well such as Aigoo - Hokkien/M'sian - Aiyoo!, chinchiak - (Just like Hokkien for "really). Shin Nian, Shim bu (Groom & Bride similar as Mandarin-hokkien); putao - Grape - mandarin; Anyway almost 60% of Korean noun borrowed from Chinese lor..that's why sometime we can know what they talking about..The only diff is Korean own expression which is entirely alien to Chinese such as they ending sound like Hamida, simida, yo & etc...non chinese at all haha

QUOTE(cybersim2 @ Nov 15 2011, 09:14 AM)
I also notice some Korean pronunciation contains Hakka, Mandarin, Hokkien dialects  brows.gif

Well, the similarities are on the vocabulary only-lah but not grammatic. Korean athough using Chinese characters in the past, adopting lotsa chinese culture (old buildings, palaces & even temples) & value including their strict confucious value. but interm of languarge. Only ~50-60% vocab borrowed from Chinese. The others are their distinct languarge which is actually Turk-Altaic related which is amost similar category as Manchurian, Mongolian, Siberian & to lesser extent, Japanese.

You can only identify some similar chinese borrowed words but not the whole sentence buiding.for eg:

English: I like eating grape
Chinese: Wor sihuang cher putao
Korean (Informal maybe as google translate using formal haha) - Na putao chuwa eh. (Hehe learn from kdrama blush.gif )

So you can see, chinese & English sharing almost similar grammar style whereas, korean, the grape or putao is in front & the chuwa or like is at the back. smile.gif
The only chinese borrowed vocab there is na/wor and putao smile.gif ..and probably chuwa from hokkien/malay- suka

QUOTE(GEFORCEXTREME @ Nov 16 2011, 12:20 AM)
Yeah, there are a lot of similarities in the language, and yeah, from Hwang Jin Yi, I also found that they write chinese caligraphy.

But what I mean is sometimes their dialogue doesn't seem like the usual Korean with lots of hamida, and other common words. Watch A Love to Kill and you know what I mean.

For me, I still prefer romantic comedy/melodrama rather than actions. For me the storylines abit lousy. A fall asleep after 1st ep of IRIS & Athena. haha...City hunter is the only action + romantic drama I like currently
