I just bought this Samsung TV. How to turn down the refresh rate? Watching movie looks like soap opera

yep turn off your motion smoothing. nothing to do with refresh rate.

Do you guys turn off the main switch to your tv all the time or you leave it in standby mode with the switch on all the time?

Just switch the tv off, no need to turn off the main switch. I don't see any reason to do so unless you really want to save a few cents from your electricity bill

I dunno how people can tahan motion smoothing. When visit people house and their TV is on, can see the soap opera effect.. quickly suggest to them to turn it off
