Just curious by what you meant by that statement... I'm thinking of trying my luck at some portrait shots so wanna get that lens... is there some problem of compatibility between 50mm F1.8 and the Nikon D40X? Please pardon my ignorance. Thanks!

Edit : I just realized that it might be the AF Motor thing.... shocking.gif What good portrait lens can we get for the D40/D40X range then?
