Hi all.
Some questions here. If i buy a D40 without lens.Body only. Then, what lens(with af) should i buy? Just for your info, I'm very new in this. So I will just take any photos. Budjet for lens about blw Rm700. Another question, I have a Tamron 70-300mm. Bought this few years back ago for my Nikon SLR. Is it possible to use it on D40?

QUOTE(szyap @ Apr 11 2008, 10:56 PM) buy 2nd hand Nikkor 18-70mm or 18-135mm...cost less than 700 both a good all-rounder lense... T70-300 not able to AF with D40...need to manual focus... means that i can use the lens? just need to manual focus myself? and, will the lens spoil the camera body slowly? Added on April 12, 2008, 11:25 ambtw, anyone willing to explain the lens for me. For example- Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm. What does the S stand for? AF is auto focus right? and what does f/3.5 means? focal length? This post has been edited by Grajindo: Apr 12 2008, 11:36 AM
