Recently uncle decided to purchase 3 Logitech M331 during 8.8 here ALL.IT.OS

After reviewing all the comment and pictures at there, uncle bought 3 M331 mices.

To uncle dismay......



Notice the problem? Uncle only received one original M331 and two fake M331. The left most is the original with LED indicator and rubberised sides. The middle and right most side are fake with no LED indicator and any rubber at all, pure plastic.



Even the bottom side is different, the original power switch is at the top, not at the bottom.

Only the original serial number is successfully registered at logitech website while the two fake failed.

Only one has Logitech Unifying functionality and successfully paired with my existing Unifying Receiver. The other two fakes can't do that.

Really not happy with this situation. I thought big seller like ALL.IT.OS only sells original goods and moreover, it is Shopee Mall.



Sigh, filled for refund..... RM94.34, assuming if the seller doesn't dispute it.....


edit: apparently, according to some forummer here, there is different hardware revision. Which I am still not satisfied because I don't get the functionality as advertised.

Final edit: Sigh....as per comment from forumers here.....uncle shall cancel refund and accept it as it is.....it just that uncle feels really tired and disappointed with this "new version".

ALL IT OS, I apologize for proclaiming those two mices are fake M331, but it doesn't change the fact that the product is different than what being advertised at the store.

Inb4 only buy from the main Brand Flagship store. There is a reason why they are not as cheap as other stores - they are original.

Starting today, I will only purchase from real Logitech shopee store, no more third party like ALL IT Hypermarket. Geez, what a disaster. I have to send back the two fake M331.

Probably easier if you select Change of Mind. Then report to shopee about receiving fake products.

It is true that Logitech is using Logi branding as well.

But in my case, the tell-tale sign is the lack of LED indicator, wrong power switch position and inability to use "Unifying" functionality.

Then I attempted to register "fake" product at Logitech product registration site in hoping that those two aren't fake......well, they are fake.

Wow. Would u have known it is fake if it wasn't for the original? Can't imagine those who bought it and tot it's ori. U must report to KPDNKK!

I would know, cause I tend to compare the item with videos and pictures posted at the buyer review section.
The two fake mices appearance totally difference than those posted at buyer review section. especially at the switch position.

That day I returned something that I already used once. Seller was ok with it, told me to select Change of Mind.

I also returned a pair of boots that was not the same brand as advertised and one of the laces was broken. For this case I selected Seller sent wrong item.

There are only few option available when selecting refund.

I will be reporting to KPDNKK if the seller attempts to dispute my refund.

I will make sure I get my refund no matter what if the seller say opened items cannot be refunded.

Ok here is the problem. Logitech rebranded their company to LOGI in 2015. So all products should have LOGI brand on it.

Since your M331 existed more than 6 years ago, i can only assume it is old stock. The new stock is probably the cut cost model. So they removed the rubberized coating. The LED light i assume is visible between the buttons?

Logitech has changed the sensor to non visible light type many years ago. When it first existed it was marketed as laser sensor. But its standard nowdays for almost all of their products.

On the unifying mouse, i believe they might have removed this feature on cheaper range because it allows people to reuse old hardware. But the newer expensive ones has it.

MCL is also a hardware distributor locally besides M-Link.

Fun fact.

Logitech support told me they are aware of a lot of counterfeiting of their products. But when I asked them why they didn't want to do anything much about it, they kept quiet and ended the conversation.

IYKYK their factories are all in CCP land.....

But it might be original as logi is new logitech logo and shortened name. They might have new revision of this model. Check their official website, it doesn't have led light as the old version as well. But no photo of the bottom. The specs does not say support unifying. Only 2.4ghz usb wireless. TS maybe wrongly accused liao.. try to find more evidence la. But i'm leaning towards its genuine and it's a new revision.

Ah no, not that sensor, there is a green led indicating the mouse is powered on from standby near the middle scroll wheel. Can refer to my camera shot I posted.

Not sure on the rubber part, but I am buying under the impression on getting rubberised mouse from all sales images here.

So, what should I do? I am buying in expectation of a rubberised sides mouse and "unifying" functionality as advertised at the site.

exactly. the specs and details also said Connection Type: 2.4 GHz wireless connection. I don't think this model support unifying. It's minor revision. yeah of course cut cost revision. i think TS memang wrongly accused of the store la.

I think TS should just retract as them scamming by selling fake items, and scamming for false advertisement.

Also, just ask nicely to request to change. Whether or not they will entertain by trying to find a different revision or old stock is up to them la.

Hey TS. Actually when you buy 3 one of them are older batch. Other two are from newer batch

Actually Logitech is known for running changes (RC) in between different batches. Even razer also does it

Another example is G102 cheapo mouse. Running changes (RC) happened in between. I remember around 2020/2021 G102 got RC which renamed to light sync and changed the sensor and RGB. G502 hero also got RC which changed braided cable to normal rubber cable. G703/G903 got RC which changed sensor to hero sensor from original pmw3366

Looks likely that this model is a far inferior refresh of the OG. So bad that people think its fake. The advertising oso topkek. Not just All IT, but the OFFICIAL STORE. Still got pictures that state it comes with Unifying receiver when it doesn't anymore. Even worse, still display pictures of M330 instead of M331.

Haha. Lurker of Reddit mouse review so know something from lolgikek. Logitech serious out of touch when comes to gaming. From Logitech side only best selling are g pro X series and g502 series. The rest no love at all. No refresh of g703 at all after last update in 2019 (yeah I got the 2019 version g703 hero). G60x series discontinued entirely because they think cannot sell (force us to just consider razer Naga line for mmo line)

Latest g309 is just a blob of ugly mess which either use AA battery or that power mat that Malaysia never get. Oh well for g304 redesign that not really follow g304 shape

I also got m650L signature . Wtf it doesn't support multi device because lolgikek force us to buy more expensive MX just for multi device (m590 discontinued lol)

Anyway nothing wrong with the change from rubber to plastic. Rubber wear and tear more easily and might become sticky.

your rm59 mouse will cost rm70 to 80 now if they maintain same feature as the older models

Same feeling haha. Screw logitetek. But understandably the company is already in process of ditching unifying because of security vulnerability being exposed years ago. Now newer models mostly already changed to BOLT receiver which is not mutually compatible with older unifying .

M590 outright discontinued because partially of unifying receiver as well as they want customers to buy more expensive MX line models

I already sent this thread to one of my friends. He is one of the working shareholder. He told me he going to take legal action against ts tomorrow.

My desktops and laptops don't have enough USB port for the supplied USB. If you notice the trend, these days, new mainboard and laptop "ketandusan" usb port. Hence I am making use of the Unifying functionality. Plus it is easier for me to use any one availaible mouse for every desktop and laptops I have.
