My KDK ceiling fan started making some locking noise and turns out the holder has torn and fallen to the blades.

How can I fix this?

The Model Nunber is KY 15A/153/153S/12B

Your help is much appreciated!

how old is your fan?

Last time my family used a KDK fan, hahahaha, its been passed down from generations to generations, from granny to my mother time. Damn their fans last really long.

I believe since 2008. Fan works beautifully otherwise

not bad, 16 years.

Don't worry about safety, its all in the ceiling hook, as long that is anchored to the ceiling, is just the fan motor.

As other posters say, just purchase cover from shopee

How easy to install the replacement cover? Any guides please.

Much appreciated.

Is it dangerous process etc, heavy?

Sorry, I be honest I only attach and remove fans.

I never got the opportunity to fix the cover.

You'll need a ladder. Fan is reasonably heavy but I think KDK ones are relatively light. I've seen those fans come with ornamental lights, damn those are super heavy.

Perhaps you have to undetach the fan from the ceiling hook and bring it down to floor, for replacement.

I am not sure if you can replace it while its still attached to ceiling. Maybe you can try to youtube to see got instruction for replace cover, or if the shopee has it.

If you undetach then you have to do the rewiring again. Just take photo of wiring (live, neutral and earth go where) - unscrew from socket, make sure you switch off your main power (electricity) to your house before you start.
