 How to fix torn ceiling fan holder?

Online shopping platform got sell replacement part.
Search kdk / panasonic ceiling fan upper and lower cover.

Temporarily you can remove the lower cover while waiting for the replacement part.
Alternatively you can use duct tape to hold it up first.

And do be careful as the ceiling fan motor is very heavy.

Can someone diy the fan part replacement or need to call a replacement? My expertise is limited - I can switch a faulty plug point or replace bulbs but never done this before.

Yes you can tear it of if needed.
Its mainly as a dust cover + cosmetic.

If your expertise is limited i suggest u just tape up the cover.
Just push it up a to avoid cover rubbing against the fan motor before taping the cover to the shaft.
