Hi guys, I was looking at Curvo Residence Setapak and was told ytd that they have just released new units with dedicated Utility Room in carpark. Is this a new norm nowadays?

My current condo have strict policy not allowing others to put stuff in carpark areas, which can be annoying if you use baby strollers, trolley and stuff frequently. However do you see this as a new need that is really useful in terms of accessibility, or just pure marketing gimmick? It does come with additional maintenance cost which is half of the normal psf rate.

Having a storage room at your parking is so useful, I hope this become the norm for every new condo.

Don't compare with those selfish owner using common area as storage. This is dedicated storage area for each unit usually near car park space. Jendela KLGCC has this for every unit.

And yes, it is accounted as accessory parcel just like carpark space.

Well 120 sqft x 0.165 = around 20 bucks a month. Would pay this anytime to save the hassle of pushing the trolleys and stuff every single time

Yup seems like a new trend - me for 1 is very much buying this idea, but just wanted to hear from all the sifus here if it is really useful/convenient as portrayed.

I'm also hoping for a fully covered Utility Room, but there's no confirmation on specification from developer yet. The only thing I know is the sqft of the utility room for now.

Not sure if other condos are providing fully covered Utility Room or all are fully covered?
