Same thing happening to me as per describe by the article. Good company lousy management, so i finally learn its time to move on after wasting 8 yrs of my life busting my butt for a boss who do not appreciate my effort and hard work.

I just left my 2nd company in 10 years of working.
Both of the reason - Managers. Tho salary add some reason to it. Benefits wise, both my previous co has among the best in the industries but I still left. Of course, after leaving a very lengthy comment to the HR to change the management. |

QUOTE(DDSFan8 @ Nov 4 2007, 06:38 PM) mind sharing?QUOTE(johnjenin @ Nov 4 2007, 07:12 PM) most of the reason might be because of the manager. but we still need to take other factors that cause people to leave. still wan to stay there ah? sometimes is the culture1) Marriage. to be closer to family. 2) structure efficiency. 3) Seeking new challenge. 4) Promotion. If you working for big company like MNC, you still have the choice to move to other group if you dont like your manager... Just my 2 colon... QUOTE(arthurlwf @ Nov 4 2007, 07:27 PM) If you working for big company like MNC, you still have the choice to move to other group if you dont like your manager... <-- Are you sure? As moving to other group requires manager approval. yesQUOTE(N's @ Nov 4 2007, 07:31 PM) yQUOTE(stupidbump @ Nov 4 2007, 07:33 PM) If can i also wanna move on if not for the 5 year bond! wah, apa bond so longoffice politic is making me goind mad and out of breath! QUOTE(arthurlwf @ Nov 4 2007, 07:56 PM) You are right on the point that the person can't contribute to the team. imagine in a deptment, less than 30% of the staff is more than 2 yrsWhat about the person that can contribute to the team but had been in that position for too long? And the manager can always give a reason to the HR stating he/she is contributing to the team, therefore the HR have no right to agree with you for you to move to another team. Another thing, we would know whether the root cause is due to manager is to find out the turnover under the manager. BTW, in the interviewer's eye on your CV with high job movement would conclude that you're job hopping. QUOTE(vey99 @ Nov 5 2007, 09:04 AM) Yep seen this article b4. Basically not many management are willing to put it as "management/superior failure". It reflects badly on themselves as well. Esp in MNC where nobody is boss, all work for wayang, even worse. If you are HR, and your attrition summary report points to dissatisfaction with Head Of Dept, what can you do? the most they can do is rotate a bit so that diff manager take the subordinate and see how. cover a55 mahAdded on November 8, 2007, 3:00 pm QUOTE(vreis @ Nov 5 2007, 03:58 PM) I wholly agreed with the above article & the bolded statement. Just think of working with a retard who think it knows everything and you'll get the drift. or some kiasu red-eyed colik who wants to get u out especially when u 1st joinQUOTE(duarnt @ Nov 5 2007, 06:21 PM) Prolong the termination period is not gonna solve anything. Resignation of employees already showing something is wrong with the manager. I dont understand why they are willing to keep dumbo/crap/irritating manager. not only MANAGER, staff also. imagine they talk to u WITHOUT looking at u. particulalry those "old-god-paper". lou san jeeQUOTE(JonC @ Nov 6 2007, 05:51 PM) Same thing happening to me as per describe by the article.
