Hi, I would like to get opinion from any experts / engineers / electricians.

I currently have a 5HP air cond in my gym / studio which has an isolator, but is installed outdoors.

Was curious if it's possible to add a 45A switch between the isolator and air cond, just to cut off power when not in use.

From a wiring perspective, I am able to locate the wire coming in from the isolator before it goes to the air cond.

A picture for illustration is as below.

Appreciate the inputs

You are certain that the aircon system is "Powered from Outdoor"?

Yes, sir. There is an isolator outside right next to the condenser. When i flip the isolator off, the air cond turns off
