Hi all,

We are planning to bring our helmet to overseas for our bike trip, will be flying out from KLIA.

Based on what I found, we will need to apply for temporary export/eksport sementara before departure so that during our return, can proof that this helmet was bought from malaysia and we brought it out for the trip.

Anyone know what’s the procedure? I believe the application need to be done at KLIA kastam booth (where though?).

One of my friend no longer have the invoice for his helmet anymore, would that be a problem? Do we need to draft a letter stating our intent and trip details?

This is different though, this is about bringing in new helmet and based on luck.

I meant the official process of bringing existing helmet in MY to overseas and return back to MY, by applying temporary export permit; so when returning if custom check can show the permit.

it has been discussed before but i cant seem to find the thread it was discussed in.

however, no mention about the no invoice case iirc.

if ur central based, perhaps make a trip to KLIA before ur trip and find out where the customs booth is and can ask them directly. better to get info direct from the source.

then can update us on the procedure, location etc as well
