Hi. I do frequent trips to Singapore, but need to receive work calls sometimes while over there.
Aside from Umobile RM68 and RM98 plans, any other telco offer something similar so that I can still receive calls when I'm travelling? Would appreciate any input or suggestions.

Long, long time ago digi prepaid allow free incoming while roaming using vowifi. Free as in you don't pay for roaming charges, but caller obviously still need to pay.
Basically got to have 1 dedicated phone since you got to enable airplane mode -> enable wifi -> wait vowifi icon in status bar.
Not sure how it is nowadays after they merged with celcom.

QUOTE(croco_2002 @ Aug 7 2024, 04:31 PM) Can VOWIFI, but not always in vicinity of Wifi Signal when travelling. Can't rely on whatsapp call also as some calls will be direct. Looks like Umobile is still the only choice? Was hoping to change as the signal in my residential area is not the best...

If u are planning to use Digi + iPhone, here's what you need to do to enable "VoWiFi" using another SIM card : 1. Once reach SG , enable manual network selection on the Digi card and manually select TPG / M1 which Digi can't roam into 2. Ensure you have another SIM with Mobile Data enabled and did not block IPSec VPN (China Mobile do this) 3. Wait for a few seconds , you should see "Digi using Mobile Data" , means Digi is now connected to VoWiFi using your mobile data. Call and SMS rate are the same as local in this situation
I used this before in Taiwan when calling back to Maybank for checking the payment details , it works very well.
