everytime got long holiday and never had any issue. Pleasant flight because only two seats with larger leg space unlike 737 airasia

Just don't try ur luck, my family booked 4 flights, 2 was cancelled. 1 requested for refund, said within 30, now 2 months passed still no news. Another one need to call in for reschedule, waited online more than 1 hour.

Mostly to SG-MY-SG once from Jakarta-MY

1. So far delayed is 1-2 hours especially the later flight
2. Was cheapest with free check in 20kg. Now no more. Book MAS cheaper.
3. Since the operate from T1 so nit much walking, plaza premier lounge and basically better than T2

Overall ok for me except that now they charge check in luggage hence not the cheapest.

bought ticket.
- less 48hrs before, received notification that flight shifted ~1hr earlier than originally scheduled.
- less 24hrs before, received notification that flight shifted ~1hr later than originally scheduled.
- ended up ~2hrs+ later than even the rescheduled-later schedule.

--

thsi thread now reminds me to check whether etiqa had approved the flight's delay claim.

I rather take firefly for domestic. Batik air no service at all, just in and out. Not really cheap also.

if it's cheaper than AA thn just buy...really hard to find batik air being cheaper than AA..it's usually on par or more expensive than MAS
but their delay is mainly because of their lack of planes and frequency
when your flight got delayed, it really means massive delay...same as firefly

AA's advantage is having many planes and frequency to compensate

Never had any issues with SG to KLIA, delays experience 5 mins to 30 mins so far, not bad. Only once 1 hour, but I rescheduled the flight anyway. Use it monthly.

I like it better because the seats are slightly more spacious compared to airasia. But that being said I just book whichever is cheaper on the travel date, sometimes go airasia, come back batik (or vice versa).

So you have it

Delays

Take it if you are not in urgent for anything

My kid took a connecting flight from JB-KL-Kelantan
Delay until need to stay in Hotel overnight in KL. Lucky they provided everything including dinner, transport and no need to pay extra for the replacement flight
Longer time than taking a bus.

Im currently on a batik air flight to Kunming waiting for it to move from where it is parked. Have been waiting an hour an a half. The last we heard from the captain was an hour and a half ago, he said technical issues will be resolved in ten minutes.

Just minutes ago the air stewardess told us itll be another 30-45 minutes wait. If their ten minutes was an hour and a half in real time, im now a bit panicky to think about what their 30-45 minutes mean.

Passengers are restless and it is very hot and stuffy inside.

Suddenly reminds me of the last batik air flight i took last year to danang. We were all waiting at the gate, and it was almost an hour late but not allowed to board yet. Suddenly the crew came half running like headless chickens and then rushed us into the plane then we suddenly took off. It feels like the pilots do not perform checks at all?

I experienced both extremes of sudden take off and now a very long delay while already seated in the plane. Both in a situation where i have no control over, cannot reschedule/ too late to decide not to fly with them.

I understand these are isolated incidences but i do have lots of time now to google some reviews of the airline and many of them have worse experiences.

Wonder if i could make a formal complaint to MAVCOM? how does MAVCOM manage the complaints? Do airlines need to have a certain standard or protocol to actually operate? How does MAVCOM check on that? Im sure there are standards to comply, no? At least for us to feel that an airlines is reliable/ safe/ well-thought on troubleshooting and crisis management?

I also understand my complaint would probably not make a difference but i am hoping that if everyone voices out, it will eventually make a difference.

Take batik air occasionally due to timing. Bigger space than firefly, clean n it has the passenger boarding bridge

Malindo ah...

First n last time. Will never book with them again.

I bought a seat. Luckily I check the seats available again. My bought seat is still up for sale. I tried to call them but no hotline.

I hv to call the local 03 number and I hv to keep calling like calling the govt office. Even after calling the local 03 number, they asked me to go physically to the office to rectify the issue. Topkek.

I hv to drive to the Malindo office just to rectify the issue. Serious!! Over there only they can help to rectify the issue by reserving my seats for me.

Then flight delayed for one hour caused me almost missed my connecting flight.

Coming back, flight delayed from 10pm until 1am.

Never again.
