Technical Replace XBOX360 GPU Heatsinks, Need some help on this.

guy i plan to mod the xbox360 GPU Heatsink to a 3rd party heatsink, anyone can let me know which heatsink can work on the xbox360 for the GPU.

there's no room for modification as the dvdrom sits way too close above the heatsink. if you're planning to takingout the dvdrom the you'd probably use somthing like the CPU heatsink and put fans on both.

yes i have the dvd rom on out side so is there any 3rd party heatsink like thermaltake or coolermaster can use on the GPU??

How do you put it sideway> The SATA ( I think ) cable is damn short.

i use a normal pc sata cable for the dvd drive it work no problem...

Use this one ...so u can use back the X-clamp same as i use the X-clamp on the waterblock.

this is thermalright ultra 120 right??also u mean i need to use back my original x-clamp right??if yes cannot lo cause last time i already done the x-clamp replacement by tot31 is there any other way to use other x-clamp?

think tot31 should have all those clamp available.

anyway, if you want the clamps just pm me.. I got plenty... laugh.gif (keep for database purpose)

Wooow...I think i got myself a new idea..Thermalright mod...hahahaha...I got the heatsink ,I got the X-clamp...will try this mod on my free time.IF i'm free

hehe ok will let u know thanks biggrin.gif anyway can this thermalright mod work?cos what i know is u need the thermalright heatsink back plate to support and hold tight the heatsink, can the original x clamp work??also u guy have found online any guide to install 3rd party heatsink for GPU on xbox360 cant seem to find it....

To make room for a bigger heatsink you need to buy a 20 inch DVD Drive Power Cable and SATA Cable. This will allow you to mount the DVD Drive on top of the case. The cables are around $10.
