I'm using the Acer Aspire 5920g, that has an s-vid, vga and hdmi port
but if lets say i would to link it up with a ps2 to play, how can i use my laptop so that I can have sound and gaming experience on my laptop?
will the image/graphics resolution be distorted and performance be affected?
how do i go about for this setup?
and how about for an lcd monitor as well? how do i go about for setup?
please help! thanks!

What you need is a VGA Box. I think Costs around RM250 at Sri Computers. It uses USB connection and has component, composite, s-video input if I'm not mistaken. Need to double check...

emulator for...? Something to emulate the vga-box? Such thing exists? If it's regarding PS1, PS2, etc. emulator, it's illegal to discuss it here.

I have searched google man. hahaha but can't find solutions. Am sure there are hardware like pcmia tv tuners for laptops but is that the only solution?
and even so, that is for visual. how about audio?can i line in to use my laptop speakers as the audio source?

as for emulators, even the PS3 is having trouble emulating ps2 games with the help of the graphics systhesizer. and the 40gb ps3 has no ps2 b/c due to the lack of hardware support (software only emulation = unfeasable)
@Salience you can connect the stereo output into your laptop line in port. youneed to use an adapter though - 3.5mm

so I just need to get an adapter that uses the audio chord from the ps2 wires (one of the red yellow white wires right?) and use it with an adapter for the 3.5mm jack and then put it into the line-in socket right?
and then i'll need a tv box after? tv tuner card thing?
how much will a whole package like this cost?
performance all same for tv tuners?

that's to align grahpics, right?
will the graphics look as good as it is on tv? and will there be a lag in display?
