Mynic usually you can create a account, then ask the outsource company initiate a transfer or you initiate the transfer back to you, or your boss.

forgot how it was done, but it is possible.

recently mynic no longer manage your domain like how it used to be
nowadays its all manage through the registrar
if u can get in touch with the registrar, maybe they can help you however they may be tied to the "it company" too if the domain is registered under the "it company" name

Since the Registrar LOCUS-T Sdn. Bhd has been onboarded to EPP, the domain is no longer managed under MYNIC Selfcare as it has been migrated to Locus-T management system. this is what MYNIC customer care says
