Hi guys,

I am looking for a new PC.

My primary usage = home use,

Mainly surf internet + watch high resolution movies + normal office work like Microsoft Excel & Words.

My Budget = PC + Window + Office software = Not more than RM 5k.


I tried ask Idealtech: price quoted RM 4.3k

Not sure is there other reputable shops offer better?

I ain't no pc expert, i need help.

I think you can get better spec than ideal tech.

Get an ASUS PN51 jer AMD edition...

overselling you...not even playing high end games dont need a 4060, wanna watch high res movies need good monitor/display.

what monitor you using. need at least 1440p/120HZ so can watch things in at least QHD

no gaming but spec in 4060? buang duit je...

just get high end ryzen with GPU, 32GB RAM (useful for lots of browsing and opening programs), plenty of storage(), nice monitor and done.

i just got mine near 2.8k for CPU, RAM, MB, monitor and VESA mount. I recycle my casing + PSU since still ok.

TS, you know you can "sail the high seas" to get WHATEVER SOFTWARE AND OS you want without spending 20% of your already small budget on it right?... ...

Your life your choice haha... ....

With your spec using Intel NUC mini PC also sufficient.

I gotten them for my father in law last month. All from czone lowyat.

The rest of the money get yourself a good monitor to enjoy those entertainment.. perhaps a 32 inch curved led. Some 49 inch curved are going for below 3k.

While a NUC may be ok for now, in future where new video codecs gets release, it will depend on CPU software decoding (cuz hardware decoding will only be from new hardware releases), and a NUC can be underpower sooner than a desktop setup that Tristanx reco. But cons is the footprint will be much larger (can 1-2x bigger) and power use will be higher than NUC (can 2-3X more)
