it's a life choice, you have to bear the responsibility and possible consequences if you've chosen this path.

My mantra every morning:
There ain't no rest for the wicked
Money don't grow on trees
I got bills to pay
I got mouths to feed
There ain't nothing in this world for free
I know I can't slow down
I can't hold back
Though you know
I wish I could
Oh, no there ain't no rest for the wicked
Until we close our eyes for good

Good song. No doubt, being a man take a lot of toll to your mental health, and no one care about us.

Married with 2 kids and an awesome wife.

Key to a happy marriage: compromise both sides (husband and wife). Everything 50/50. Have a hobby, allow each to enjoy their hobbies at least once a week.

Do things to make yourself happy (except cheong). Get a life.

Wife and I have been spending a lot of time over the past year (since she hung up her calculator) talking about how we're gonna spend our post-career years.

For me, it's easy peasy. I've booked so many road trips Down Under with the Porsche Club that I'm probably gonna be elevated to club mascot soon.

For her, well, she doesn't mind going on those trips, but she hates sitting in the car (especially the 911, because the Sports suspension is rock hard) and she doesn't enjoy long drives with the twisties as I do....

So, we compromise. I go on those trips with her (because I want her to accompany me), and she makes me do gardening and plant those succulents and herbs of hers in my free time.

I swear to you, green thumb I have not, but it's what makes her happy, so I'm more than happy to fulfill that part of the bargain.

It's a happy equilibrium for now ...

Happy friday.

Lets try to focus on things we can control, instead worrying of things that we cant.

hmm.gif not sure how those singles in their 40s and 50s handling?

I lost touch with one guy in his 40s single, got few times went yum cha with him. He got so much free time, that he memorized Borat movie and can even read out the script exact words.

Dunno lah, those single fellas seriously burn their free time, dunno do what. He smokes like chimney (his own private life lah), doesn't exercise, eats a lot, watch movies at home over n over again.

That's typical man without life goal, don't know what they want in life, hence free time.

If one needs get married to kill their free time, that's very sad

single or married isn’t the important issue. Your innate drive and personal motivations are.

Just two months join this new company. Met with lots of disrespect and harassment from colleagues. Always kept low profile and carry a polite demeanour at office. All my experience working from Sdn Bhd to Berhad, never encountered such hostility before.

This Sunday night my heart keeps pounding to clock-in tomorrow out of anxiety. On my knees already but cannot throw letter yet. Bills to pay, loan to service, mouth to feed.

Deep down I really feel like want to retaliate back to them, not using words but violence. Lucky I am able to reason to myself, not snapped and go ape shit. Shit like this really took toll on my mental well being. I cannot understand why some people want to disturb other rice bowl, just cannot process their reasoning.

Other than venting here, already took action by looking for other opportunities. Pity the pay is good and the location is nearer to my home.

Mental health is a serious thing and should never be taken or consider to deal with lightly.

At the end day apart from those pros your health should be your priority and its literally the reason why u are still here
