If Republican Bush dynasty and Labour Tony Blair didn't go and destroy Saddam Hussein to the max, probably Iran will have problem to be influential in middle east with proxy like Houtis and Hezbollah etc. Brutal Saddam is the natural balancing force to check on Iran.

Israel whining to US about Saddam, coz Saddam  can just send Squd missile to Tell Aviv from far away just like that and Israel can't intercept it all.
