I'll go for the Korg if I were you.

zoom g2.1u
for something that small, it's got a LOT of patches you can mess with.
Comes with free recording software for computers too tongue.gif
go to CK music and bargain, be persistent and you can get a rather big discount off. then use the leftover cash to either buy awesome cables, a new strap (if you need one), or some quality strings.

thanks for the replies guys..
btw,i'm from penang..

quarantined : yea, one of my friend just bought the ax3000 for 800 cash..

giant : the g7 is just rm900?????!!! where?
penang music stores is quoting me 1300 before nego..mayb can only get 1100 by cash..

aceejay : hehe..thanks, but it doesnt look that nice..kekeke cheers!

liew90kw : that seems like a good idea...will think bout it tongue.gif

oh ya,just to add on, its not for practice use only..i'm plannin to take it on stage too.. tongue.gif
i'm guessing older zooms arent tht great..tried my friends 707 II..couldnt do much with it..dist is too metal/thin...
but i read from reviews that the gseries is a big leap for Zoom...

hey man, i was like u too, looking for multi fx below 1k

anyway, heres my story,

KORG AX3000G seems better in my opinion compared to Zoom

But i realised, after a few years i will out grow these pedals and get a new one or maybe the pedal will die, so I decided to go with the Pod X3 Live, best choice but it cost RM1750.
And Line6 is a good brand, so might as well spend more money to get something that will last

So i recommend u to buy something that can suit u for a long time, cause in the end u have to spend more money

I agree that the AX3000G sounds better then the Zoom.... The Zoom is very fragile, and I REALLY torture my gear. 2 Zooms didn't make it..... My original 505 and the GFX5...... The effects in the GFX5 is very extensive and has a lot of features........ A great way to start out..... but treat it with care.

i tried the G7,G2 and ax3000g today..
i'm so in love with the G7!! sounds OMG!!
ax3000 was ok...and the best part is, i'm fond of the g2 too...easy to use and for tht price, it sounded great!
guess its personal opinion?hehe ..
most probably will be goin for the zoom..
anyway, thanks for your time guys..
ROCK ON!

U might want to consider the floor pods? (though i only heard bad reviews)
But if you really want tone, top up another 200-400 and get a Podxt live or a GT8.
Its really much better.

I think u can get a Pod XT live brand new one at Singapore for RM1300, not including any discounts or offers
Or u could get a second hand one.

btw, G9 has a nice sound also, Zoom is not bad for the price, but the KorgA300 is around 700+? rite? good deal i guess ..
