recently i've received sms from hotlink says to change my number to be new plan of UNLIMITED, it'll be AUTOMATICALLY if you agreed to, no need to do anything, but if no, you have to reply NO within the giving due date otherwise consider agreed and no way to change back.

i've called Hotlink CS & they easily says that just reply NO if i don't agreed to, nothing big deal.

but, over 5 of my numbers & 1 my father's number only received 1 in all of them. What if the number is using in modem? ignored by old people that never read sms?

i ask what about my others number that never / not yet received the sms, they also simply says just reply NO & my plan will not going to be changed. but when i asked for a confirmation answer, they can't promise.

it should be the other way to ask people to change that if YES, wanted to, then reply YES. if no, then remains & no need to do anything. Like this way, it's like FORCE user to accept the changes if they MISSED the sms or the due date as i don't know is it the dateline uniformly same period or batch by batch.

do keep eye on your mobile plan if you're not interesting to the new plan they are promoting to you, there's no way to change back as they have reply to me. although it's not a satisfying answer.

Yeah, you will have to opt out by replying NO by 9 august if you want to stay on current legacy plan

There a link attached in SMS, you can read on about it. IIRC latest hotlink 5g 1.0 plan is the direct replacement for previous unlimited plan and older. Note that if you decline the FREE offer, but later if change your mind, changing plan to latest plan will be charge rm5

yes, they try to move ur plan to nothing freebies plan & u'll need to purchase for the data u didn't needed b4.

the CS even can't tell me what is the benefit if i change the plan, juz kept emphasize it's unlimited & good & @%*^&(...
but never mention : MUST PAY FOR IT TO ENJOY IT

promoting says UNLIMITED PLAN, if as the unlimited plan in my memory:
another type of payu plan, no pay no data
limited 3mbps / 6mbps depends what u'r buying, fup quota 50gb after that capped speed 512kbps
& even bought add-on passes also runs 512kbps until previous pass date end. (correct me if i'm outdated)

i'm juz poke this out for the user like me who doesn't interested to their 2 yrs old NEW PLAN,

In hotlink prepaid 5g 1.0 (most current version) has already consolidate two rate plan into one (unlimited plan and pantas plan) in which you can get either high speed or capped unlimited plan
Pantas plan starts from rm25 monthly
Unlimited plan starts from rm40 monthly

yes, but those aren't free & even can't count as a benefit to attract / persuade people to join

Your current plan other than free 10gb video and call plan got something you need to buy , like 365 validity, monthly pass for all apps or you seldom use it?

If you seldom use it, then either you stay on your current plan or consider pantas plan (aka 365 plan) might be better

yes, i think most user are not interested to the NEW plan as it's already exist more than 2 yrs, would already in if wanted to.

now they use this tricky way to push the user like hard sell way as for the numbers might using by elder people but managing by their children & might missed the timing to handling the sms.

u must reply NO to stay, not automatically stay, otherwise u'll be buang pulau to NEW plan if u didn't notice the sms in any incidence

At least they give you option now albeit with dark pattern of opt out instead of opt in. They used to just yolo automatically move old customer plan to new plan, no ask no manual opt in or out, just straight automatic.

The current hotlink pantas is really pantas 2.0 since the og pantas is abit different, it used to give 30days validity with just rm5 reload. They realized it doesn't generate enough profit so the nerf it, essentially double from rm5 to now rm10 to get 30 days validity. They didn't ask also, straight change everyone plan from og pantas to new nerfed pantas.

Other telco did the same too. I used to hold on to old celcom x2 from 2011 with generous 28sen/10minutes call and 1sen/1sms. They kept introducing newer plan that nerf the generous rates but i didn't change, holding on to the x2. Suddenly in 2016 it got automatically change to newer x3 plan no more generous rate, no ask no opt just auto change overnight.

Mcmc can't do shit. Read telco t&c and i can 100% guaranteed theres a line somewhere in there saying they reserved every rights to change customer plan without notice.

although i understand but still can't accept it in calm.... mad.gif ranting.gif vmad.gif
