hi sifus,
thinking of upgrading my mba 2013 128gb to higher disk space.
i have inquire pricing from few technician. but i am confused on their term of "upgrading".
1 told me just do "enlargement" with price lower than others + all data retain and few told me change/swap of ssd + all data loss.
so which is true?
Apple SSD connectors are proprietary for themselves only.
However, you still can upgrade your original SSD to third party SSD with an adaptor to convert the connector, and it totally compatible.

You can get any M.2 PCIe SSD to use along.
Below is success installation image on a MBA 2013.

Preparing the new SSD with MacOS is on different processes.
You'll need to have a pen drive, loaded with the MacOS image file.
