Actually good question. This is tiger and I believe have been organising fund raising for schools for a long time. Carslberg also have separate events.

I think they hold the fund raising events and collection from said events are donated which I think circumvents potential sticky points.

But their wares shouldn't be marketed. This event was held in school compound or at outside venue for the adults?

Unfortunately, the one that needs the money is school, where the institution is for under 18 and Muslim children can enrol. Also, school is not not oblivious to religion needs but a civil org is a civil org. they cannot kira to cacing lubang.

I actually agreed with one Gelakan statement on this fiasco, you want to stop this donation thingy? Gov give more funding lo.

Even govt cannot fund to the level that these schools get. These fund raised and contribute to infra like halls. Even my old national primary and secondary schools build their halls from fundraising dinners and alumni not from govt funds. Funding goes to upkeep, security, furniture and fittings and electricity bills etc. Additional comes from pibg or koperasi

I think this issue triggered due to muslim menteri take pict with alcohol banner and what not but of coz we know that all this is coz of flame by PAS yet again.

I have no idea whether any previous muslim menteri take this kind of pict or not when attending these fundraising event, but event host also need to be more sensitive la...

Regardless, this is CSR by beer company and certainly no one in school definitely encourage anyone consume alcohol...

It had been going on for all this while and none of non attribute this kind of sponsorship to non's alcohol consumption.
