My Kelana Jaya (SS4) area seems to be still not working.. sad.gif

As for conversion of normal videos, I use MediaCoder then custom settings.

For DVD, I use Handbreak on my Macbook. smile.gif

Finally working in my SS4 area! rclxm9.gif

But I don't think I'll use my Maxis on my iPhone just yet as I'd have to travel around. smile.gif

However, I now understand the feeling of 'it rang and vibrated in my hand'. LOL! rclxms.gif

Wah! Mother oso know how to smuggle in. I want to know your Mum. tongue.gif

This is what you need to check the firmware version:

1. Turn on the phone and slide to unlock the keypad. iPhone screen should show that only emergency calls is allowed.
2. Enter the following key sequence: *3001#12345#* and then finish by pressing Call button.
3. Tap on Versions.
4. The firmware revision information of the Apple iPhone installed out of the box will be shown on the LCD screen.

Based on your Apple iPhone firmware revision information, use the reference below to tell what is your firmware:
* 03.12.06_G - firmware version 1.0.0
* 03.14.08_G - firmware version 1.0.1 or 1.02
* 04.01.13_G - firmware version 1.1.1
* 04.02.04_G - firmware version 1.1.1

Latest iTunes is 7.5 and the only affect is it asks if you wanna update to 1.1.2. But don't. Just install it and keep it iTunes, don't install - unless you wanna unlock to 1.1.2.

Hmm, thankfully since I've a MacBook, I just use the MB plug and connect to the iPhone charger then just plug the USB wire into it. smile.gif

The iPhone does get a little warm when charging - but it's a no brainer because what I've noticed when even charging my MB is the battery gets warm then after fully charging it stops and just cools off. Charging with the plug is fast and guarantees a full charge. Charging using the computer would need a longer time period even if it shows full.

That's my observation.

Hmm, I'll be going Genting tomorrow so I'll see if I can receive there or not. brows.gif

Hi all iphone sifus,

icon_question.gif  I hv questions and hope won't be flame for it.  smile.gif

1.Whats d different between the FREE AnySIM unlocking method and the PAID IPFS (iPhone Sim Free Software) method beside one free and one have to pay?
2.Whats wif the 300mb issue dat i read from hackint0sh forum?
3.Any other issues rise from unlocking the iPhone?
4.Where do you go to read about iphone stuff (unlocking, hacks, update, news, apps etc) besides here, hackint0sh and ModMyiFone?

Hope all the sifus can help me as I'm doing my research first before doing the leap to iPhone. It's not some cheap stuff to just go out and blindly buy it without knowing the pro's n con's right.  biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance.

1. anySIM requires you to have a total support via other anySIM users. IPFS has a team who produces the support when required. They also release unlocks for new firmwares fastest than any open-source (free) ones I've seen online.

2. It's some bug from the old 1.0.2 days after you jailbreak your phone. I experienced that once on an IPSF 1.0.2 but the fix was online so it was an easy download and double-click the application to remedy it.

3. You won't have any because most of the time the units are already unlocked. Unless, you do the unlocking yourself.

4. I don't stick to one source. It's better having multiple places to read about. So easiest, get their RSS. tongue.gif

p/s: Forgot to say while I was in Genting, can receive calls. smile.gif
